On Friday the 29th of September the newly formed Cambridge House Grammar School Charity Committee held a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support during an extended break. This coffee morning raised a total of £494.46 which will allow Macmillan to continue to help people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.
This amount could not have been raised without the help of the students from Year 8 to Year 14 and their families who generously baked and donated to this worthy cause. The bakes were enjoyed by all as can be seen in the photographs. The Charity Committee would like to thank all of the staff for their continued support in planning and running of the event, especially Barry and Harry who set up the Assembly Hall and the Home Economics Department for their help.
The Charity Committee meet every Thursday in F16 and we look forward to holding further events to raise money for selected charities.
