Cambridge House 1st XI suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Carrick Grammar at the Showgrounds on Saturday morning (17th September). Carrick won a penalty corner within the first few minutes and didn’t miss their opportunity - 0-1. They continued to put pressure on but Cambridge House defended well and the first half ended with no further score.
Both sides had scoring opportunities in the second half however it was the visitors who managed to slot in another two goals in the final minutes of the match to earn a solid victory. Despite the loss, the team showed great spirit and put in a lot of effort with good performances from Chloe Farquhar, Emily Anderson, Ellen Friel and Katelyn McCormick.
Despite this defeat the 1st XI have qualified for the ‘knock out’ stages of the Super League.
