Curriculum
The GCE AS Mathematics and GCE A2 Mathematics specifications follow CCEA examining board and offer pupils the opportunity to study various combinations of modules. Ten modules are available with students choosing three or six modules from the following list:
C2 Pure Mathematics 2
C3 Pure Mathematics 3
C4 Pure Mathematics 4
M2 Mechanics 2
S2 Statistics 2
At Cambridge House the A Level is comprised of C1, C2, C3, C4, M1 & S1. The A/AS Level in Further Mathematics involves a course of study in the above modules and further mechanics and statistics options.
Similarly, the CCEA specifications in GCSE Mathematics and Further Mathematics are followed.
The Department has, over recent years, embarked upon a course of study following the AQA specification in GCSE Statistics. This course has proven to be both successful and useful for pupils who wish to pursue post-16 study in ‘data rich’ subjects.
Facilities
There are separate spacious classrooms for each member of staff.
